We are seeking a Metrology Engineer / Calibration Specialist to join our calibration laboratory. Working under the direction of a Senior Metrologist, you will develop and perform advanced calibration methods and techniques for high-level calibration products, ensuring the highest standards of measurement accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support and develop calibration methods and techniques for precision measurement instruments.
Perform technical analysis of measurement problems and determine accuracy requirements for calibration standards.
Develop uncertainty analyses for accredited calibrations in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
Implement and maintain control charting and statistical process control techniques.
Design and develop automated test and measurement systems.
Maintain documentation and analyses to ensure compliance with the laboratory ISO/IEC 17025 quality system.
Drive continuous improvement of calibration processes and systems.
Contribute to the development of metrology quality system policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred, or equivalent technical training in calibration/metrology.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a metrology or calibration environment, preferably within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MET/CAL, C#, VB, Java, and/or Python for data analysis and process automation.
Soft Skills:
Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
Excellent teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with strong time management and independent working skills.
