The role of Test Engineer
They are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with strong industrial experience who is ready to apply their technical expertise to testing, fault finding, and inspection. This is a hybrid role, involving both site and office work. This is a travelling role, visiting several sites in England and Wales, so a full drivers license and the ability to travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:
Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and verification in line with current regulations and company procedures.
Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial electrical systems.
Prepare and maintain accurate test records and documentation.
Ensure all equipment and systems meet required safety and operational standards.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Requirements of the Test Engineer:
2391 Inspection & Testing qualified.
Proven experience of working in an industrial environment or heavy industry experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, standards, and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Competent in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
