Salary: £17.50per hour
Job Type: Full time – to June 2026
Shift: Day shift, Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm, Friday 7am – 12pm
Job Overview
Are you passionate about bikes? Have you got bike license? Would you like to ride for living and put your stamp on testing prototypes on one of the greatest British Bike Manufacturer? If yes, this is a job for you. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Development Test Cells Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their products through rigorous testing and analysis. This position will be ideal for an experienced bike rider. They don’t require you to have a previous commercial experience with riding as long as you have got a license.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Rolling Road tests according to test procedures and in line with the required test schedules.
* Responsible for H&S and Risk Assessments.
* Operate chassis dynamometers and associated test equipment for engine and vehicle testing.
* Prepare vehicles and test setups, including instrumentation and calibration.
* Monitor and record test data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during testing, escalating where necessary.
* Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support development and validation programs.
* Maintain test equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Document test procedures, results, and observations clearly and accurately.
* Undertake and assist with projects as required by your manager.
* Any other ad-hoc duties as required by your manager.
Essential:
* Maths and English GCSE grade C or above.
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
* Motorbike licence
* Experience with Microsoft packages
Preferred (not required):
* Previous mechanical experience
