About the Role
We are working with one of our partner schools in Liverpool who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Practitioner to join their team from September 2025. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to make a lasting impact within a nurturing and supportive school environment.
As a Therapeutic Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. You’ll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to deliver therapeutic interventions that help students thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
*
Deliver targeted therapeutic interventions to children and young people.
*
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in line with their individual plans.
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to create inclusive strategies.
*
Provide 1:1 and group support sessions to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
*
Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback and reports to staff and parents/carers.
*
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements
*
Experience working with children or young people in a therapeutic, pastoral, or SEN setting.
*
Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, or therapeutic practice (desirable but not essential if experience is strong).
*
Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
*
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
*
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
