Job Description
TIG Fabricator – Backshift
We are currently hiring Fabricators for an industry leader in the Building Services sector, to join their back shift working Monday to Thursday 16:45-03:45,.
Competitive rates of pay based on experience. with overtime available at 1.5.
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings, ensuring compliance with company standards while adhering to health and safety processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless-steel pipe ranging from 65mm – 500mm) from shop drawings.
* Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit up is carried out to the correct standard.
* To undertake training in line with company standards and complete Cross training in various welding activities.
* To use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
* General workshop duties.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Experience working as a TIG fabricator, that includes Pipe Fabrication.
* The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
* Able to use Shop floor hand tools.
* Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings.
Desirable:
* Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
* Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or welding environmentBefore You Apply
