Join Our Team as a Skilled TIG Welder!
Are you an experienced TIG Welder with a passion for precision, quality, and craftsmanship? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our growing manufacturing team in Solihull. You'll play a vital role in producing high-quality welded assemblies across a range of materials, contributing to a collaborative and safety-focused production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Weld components to a high standard using TIG processes, particularly on aluminium and stainless steel.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to complete tasks accurately.
Adhere to all welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Maintain welding jigs, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a smooth production flow.
Work independently or collaboratively to meet daily and weekly production targets.
Support 5S and continuous improvement activities across the shop floor.
What We’re Looking For:
Skills & Attributes:
Strong TIG welding ability (especially aluminium and stainless steel)
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Clear communication and good teamwork skills
Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
Focused on health & safety in a manufacturing environment
Experience:
Essential:
Time-served TIG welding experience
Confident working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
Desirable:
Fabrication/fitting experience
Exposure to lean manufacturing practices
Qualifications:
Essential:
GCSEs in Maths and English
Desirable:
BS 4872 welding certification
Abrasive wheels (for tungsten grinding)
Lean or 5S training
Welding/fabrication-related training
