Job Description
DC Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join our clients team in LE4 Leicester
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment, with room to grow and develop in an ongoing full time role
Temp - Perm role
Pay rate:
£16 - £18 per hour (dependent on experience and skill level) with overtime available
Hours:
7:30pm - 4pm Monday - Thursday & Friday 7:30am - 1pm (39 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities are:
• Carry out precision TIG welding on aluminum (2–3 mm sheet and up to 6 mm plate)
• Fabricate and assemble curtain wall systems, including head and base sections
• Manufacture and weld spigots for shopfront screens and structural frames
• Work from engineering drawings and welding symbols to produce accurate assemblies
• Perform finishing, fettling, and grinding to ensure a high-quality finish
• Maintain welding quality standards and ensure structural integrity of joints
• Inspect welded components for accuracy, alignment, and finish
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop
Ideal Candidate will have :
• Proven experience as a TIG welder, preferably within aluminum fabrication
• Skilled in welding thin-gauge aluminum (2–3 mm) and heavier plate (up to 6 mm)
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and fabrication details
• Experience in curtain walling, shop front, or architectural aluminum systems (advantageous)
• Competent with hand tools, fabrication equipment, and finishing techniques
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong mechanical skills and adherence to safety standards
