Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile installation, demonstrating proficiency in using both hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Tile Setter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of various spaces.
Duties
* Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to design specifications and schematics.
* Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying necessary adhesives.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut tiles to size and shape as needed.
* Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles during installation for a professional finish.
* Perform necessary repairs or adjustments to existing tile work as required.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and painters, to ensure cohesive project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to tile installation.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Previous experience in carpentry or painting is considered an asset but not essential.
* A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation between job sites.
