At McDermotts, we’re hiring a HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic team.
We are seeking a highly skilled Tipper Driver and communicator to support the McDermotts function in Birmingham.
To be considered for the role you must have:
Class 2 driving licence
Main Responsibilities
To provide services to the project sites.
You will be delivering materials and equipment to all our building site safely on time.
Key responsibilities include:
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic professional HGV drivers in support of our Transport & Logistics Division.
Outline of role
* Ability to work safely;
* Ability to interact with customers & the general public;
* A detailed understanding of Drivers Hours & the Working Time Directive, traffic laws & regulations;
* Be able to conduct mandatory pre use, during and post checks & report any defects as applicable;
* Adhere to delivery schedule & routes whilst adhering to a high level of professionalism & customer service;
* Taking pride in company assets ensuring they are cleaned, maintained, roadworthy in accordance with both statutory requirements, company policy & procedures;
* Completing necessary paperwork/documentation accurately, including waste & delivery notes.
* Assist in loading, securing & unloading;
* Adhere to company driving policy & procedures;

Working hours: 06:30 – 16:30

Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
* minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
* CSCS card or equivalent
* Hold an HGV class 2 license
* Current valid CPC and Digit Card
* Proven experience as a Tipper lorry driver
* Good knowledge of site and road health and safety procedures
* Good knowledge of loading and unloading procedures and restraints
* full driving licence
