Job Description
Due to continued growth, a specialist manufacturing facility with over 50 years' experience providing end-to-end manufacturing solutions to the plastics industry, is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer.
Package: Up to £45,000 · Monday-Friday days · Life insurance · Company pension · Training and development opportunities · Option to increase annual leave by up to 5 days
Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will play a key role within the Production and Technical teams, looking after prototype and production mould tools for the rubber and plastics industry, as well as associated ancillary equipment and jigs.
As a Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer, your duties will include:
Managing the modification and repair of tools with internal and external toolmakers where required.
Provide solutions to prevent reoccurring damage to certain tools.
Work closely with the Technical and Operations team to improve efficiency and processes.
Complete strip-down and servicing of complex injection moulds.
Complete annual tooling reviews.To be successful in the role of Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer, the ideal candidate will:
Have experience in a similar role with a good knowledge of injection mould tools.
Be skilled with all relevant workshop tools and equipment such as lathes, CNC milling, grinders, welding and EDM spark erosion.
Be competent in communication both on the telephone and emails.
Be mature, hard-working with a keen attention to detail and willingness to get involved.
