Job Description
Job Role – Tooling Technician
Rate Of Pay - £20.37
Hours Of Work - Monday to Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-1.
Location – Rochdale
Contract Type – Contractor
We’re hiring a Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing client in Rochdale. You'll report to the Technical Support Manager and be responsible for maintaining and improving the tools and fixtures used in production.
What You’ll Do:
Repair and modify tools and inserts
Inspect and prepare new tools
Support tool testing and make adjustments
Source spare parts and materials
Manage tooling and fixture requests
Repair production fixtures and storage equipment
Work with other teams to plan tool repairs and reduce downtime
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality
Help document and manage custom tooling needs
Assist with tooling for post-moulding and assembly work
Support process improvements and new product launches
About You:
Experience in tooling or manufacturing
Proactive and self-motivated
Good communicator and problem-solver
Attention to detail and quality-focused
Able to work under pressure
Skilled with hands and tools
Can understand and remember technical info
