Job Description
Our client design and manufacture precision forged and machined components and are currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join their team. As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings within tight tolerances.
Hours of work are Days (Monday to Friday)
Pay rate £15.00 - £18.00 per hour plus competitive benefits package.
Reporting directly to the Toolroom Supervisor , your key responsibilities will include:
* Manufacture of extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials
* Manufacture single stage clip tools
* Surface grinding
* Manual milling
* Manual turning
* Polishing to high spec finish
* Bench Work
* Service and repair tooling (PPM)
* Breakdowns
To be successful in the role of a Toolmaker you will hold the following skills and experience;
* Experienced toolmaker with at least 5 years experience in a toolroom
* Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment
* Foundation understanding of material science and metallurgy
* Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges etc.
* Good communicator and a "can do" attitude"
* An attention to detail and able to work meticulously
