Job Description
Toolmaker – Plastic Injection Moulding
Location: Tamworth
Salary: £44,000
Shifts: Double Days (Mon–Fri)
A well-established manufacturing company based in Tamworth is seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker with a strong background in plastic injection moulding to join its growing team.
Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture, maintain, and repair injection mould tools to a high standard.
*
Use precision machinery.
*
Diagnose tooling issues and provide effective solutions.
*
Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of moulding processes.
*
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
*
Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production.
*
Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work.
*
Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
*
Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a toolmaker within a plastic injection moulding environment.
*
Strong understanding of toolroom machinery and equipment.
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
*
Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
