Toolmaker Required!
Our client is a specialist UK-based manufacturer of bespoke plastic extrusions.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking skilled Tool-Makers/Machinists. You will play a key role in the design, production, development, and repair of all tools used. This is a hands-on role that requires precision and initiative.
Package:
Hourly rate from £16.85
23 days holiday + bank holidays
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Overtime: 1.3× payToolmaker - Responsibilities:
Undertake tool design and manufacture, including CNC turning, spark, and wire erosion tasks.
Operate conventional milling machines, lathes, and other workshop equipment.
Interpret engineering drawings accurately to produce high-quality tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement of tool design and manufacturing processes.
Work independently and as part of the tool-room team to meet production requirements.
Training will be provided for the right individual to develop skillsToolmaker - Requirements:
Time served/Apprentice trained machinist
Proven experience in a tool-making or similar workshop environment.
Strong skills in milling and turning.
Experience with wire-erosion and three-axis milling machines is advantageous.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
