Town Planner - Renewable Energy
Location: Dublin or Galway
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing a respected and growing consultancy in their search for a Town Planner with a passion for renewable energy development. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure projects, with a strong pipeline of wind, solar, and other clean energy developments across Ireland.
The Role
As a Town Planner - Renewable Energy, you will:
Lead and assist in the preparation, submission, and management of renewable energy planning applications.
Undertake site selection studies, planning appraisals, and policy analysis.
Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes where required.
Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to secure project approvals.
Work collaboratively with technical specialists, engineers, and environmental consultants.
About You
We are seeking a planning professional who has:
A degree or master's in Town Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related discipline.
Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure planning.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent project management capabilities and attention to detail.
A full driving licence for site visits.
