The Role:
As a member of the Trackside Electronics team, the Electronics Support Engineer (Trackside Systems Engineer) will be responsible for the calibration and analysis of the car's electronic control and hydraulic systems, along with fault-finding and diagnostics. Reporting to the Head of Trackside Electronics, the ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities and thrive in a team-orientated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the testing of on-car electronics, controls, and hydraulic systems before installation
Monitoring the status of these systems during sessions and conducting post-run analysis
Acting as a reference point for engineers and technicians regarding build and operational procedures
Compiling event reports that document system issues and resolutions
Ensuring cars are built to specification and coordinating with factory teams on parts and spares availability
What We're Looking For:
The successful candidate will have:
A background in electronics and a solid understanding of data acquisition systems, particularly SECU and other McLaren Applied Technologies hardware
Strong data analysis and processing skills
Excellent communication skills and ideally experience in a similar motorsport role
Please note: This role requires regular travel to races and test events, involving extended periods away from home.
