Tractor Operator – Feeder Wagon
Location: North West
Rate: £16 per hour
Employment: Full-time
Accommodation: Not provided
We are seeking an experienced Tractor Operator to join a busy livestock farm in the Wrexham area. This full-time role involves operating a feeder wagon, managing daily feeding routines and supporting general farm operations. The ideal candidate will have strong machinery skills, confidence working around livestock and a reliable, proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operating the feeder wagon and carrying out daily feed distribution
• Safe and skilled operation of tractors and farm machinery
• Performing routine machinery checks and basic maintenance
• Supporting wider farm duties as required
• Following feeding plans with accuracy
• Working independently while maintaining high standards of animal welfare and hygiene
Requirements:
• Proven experience operating tractors; feeder wagon experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work safely and confidently around livestock
• Practical, positive and reliable approach to farm tasks
• Must live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of Wrexham (no accommodation provided)
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Telehandler (Loader) certificate – desirable
• Tractor driving qualification or documented machinery experience – desirable
• PA1/PA2 or PA4 spray certificates – beneficial but not essential
• Mechanical aptitude or basic engineering knowledge – beneficial
