Trade Counter Manager – Electrical Wholesale
Location: Northampton
Salary: £31,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Trade Counter Manager to lead a busy and fast-paced trade counter within the electrical wholesale sector.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys building strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operation of the trade counter to ensure an exceptional customer experience
Greet and engage with all visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome
Keep the trade counter clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
Ensure all promotional displays are relevant, attractive, and regularly updated
Lead customer loyalty and incentive schemes, games, and seasonal promotions
Drive sales by proactively interacting with customers and identifying opportunities
Coach, support, and develop trade counter staff to maintain service standards
Monitor and maintain facilities such as the coffee machine, in-store media, and climate control
Share valuable customer feedback with management to help shape future offers and services
Assist with general tasks including stock replenishment, picking, and warehouse duties when neededWhat We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a trade counter or customer-facing role (electrical wholesale experience is a strong advantage)
Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
A hands-on leader who can motivate others and lead by example
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to get involved in all areas of the branch operation
