Job Description
This is a Permanent position and Coleman James Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency
Due to departmental growth a vacancy has arisen for an experienced time served HGV trailer technician to join our ranks. This is a full-time position as a trailer technician within the Fleet Department.
Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 07:30 – 15:30. Overtime available.
Key responsibilities of the Trailer Technician Role:
* Completing planned 8-weekly inspections
* Applying proven trailer technician expertise to maintain and repair equipment
* Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
* Carry out on-site repairs as required.
* Demonstrating strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrics.
We are seeking someone who:
* Ability to work alone as well as in a team
* Adhere to all health and safety policies
* Holds recognised qualification in HGV/trailer maintenance or equivalent experience.
* Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Maintains accurate service and repair records.
* Possesses a flexible approach with the ability to respond to operational needs at short notice in all weather conditions.
* Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship.
* Someone who is proactive in identifying potential faults and implement solutions.
