Trainee Area Sales Manager Job in Ferndown
Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a successful client who are currently recruiting for a Trainee Area Sales Manager. This position offers the opportunity to develop over a 24-month period into a working area manager-based role.
This trainee role is with a thriving local business who distributes forklifts, storage racking, signage among other products. They also hire out and service several types of equipment. The way the company look after their staff is evident in their very low employee turnover and the numerous benefits they provide.
Responsibilities of the Trainee Area Sales Manager:
* Manage the development of new accounts and maximise business within those accounts.
* Establish correct and successful procedures to maintain good customer and prospect contact schedules.
* Optimise work efficiency through effective time management regimes
* Develop a territory plan which will incorporate all the above
* Maintain the company database, updating as required
* Diligently work to meet all sales targets set by the sales management team
* Use all analysis provided by the company to enhance focus on areas which are shown to require additional effort
Minimum requirements:
* Previous experience in a sales role preferred
* Confident with excellent communication skills
* Organised, attention to detail and ambitious
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary £26,000 per annum plus commission
* Company car offered
* 23 days holiday + bank holidays, rising by one day a year to a maximum of 30 days after 8 years’ service
* Pension scheme - 5% by employee and 4% by employer, rising if you choose, to 7.5% each after 5 years’ service
* Company paid Health Plan for employees and their children up to the age of 18 years. Partner option available too.
* Career review via appraisal system, including any training required.
