Job Description
Role: Trainee Audit Accountant
Location: Brighton
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
A minimum of 30 hours per week will be considered
Pay: £25,000+ depending on exam progress
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Audit Accountant to join one of our longstanding clients, a growing and well-established accountancy practice in Brighton.

The Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of practical experience, ideally in an accountancy or audit role
Currently studying or keen to study towards ACA or AAT qualification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Well-organised and able to manage deadlines
High level of integrity and an ethical approach to work
Good IT skills, including Excel and accounting software
Strong team working skills and problem-solving ability
The Role:
Assist with the completion of assigned audit engagements within the office and at client premises
Manage daily activities to support Audit Seniors and Managers
Communicate issues clearly and effectively, suggesting solutions
Conduct audit procedures, testing and evidence gathering to support conclusions
Ensure compliance with department procedures, legislation and professional standards
Support the audit team with research, reporting and documentation
Stay up to date with relevant legislation and training requirements
Demonstrate focus on professional development and career progression
