We are currently working with an established and highly respected M&E contractor based in Manchester with over 30 years of industry experience. Their portfolio spans commercial, industrial, and retail sectors, and we’ve proudly contributed to some of the UK’s most iconic and high-profile projects.

The role:
They are now seeking a Trainee Estimator to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to be personally mentored by the Managing Director, gaining direct insight into the full estimating process from start to finish.
You will:
* Assist in preparing mechanical and electrical cost estimates
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
* Support the tendering process and preparation of bids
* Gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow
Who their looking for:
We welcome applications from:
* Electricians with solid on-site experience who are ready to transition into an office-based role and build a long-term career in estimating
OR
* Individuals already in a Trainee/Junior Estimator position within a similar M&E or construction business, looking for better mentorship and long-term progression
You’ll also need:
* A good understanding of either electrical or mechanical installations
* Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
* A willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Good communication and organisation abilities
