Job Description
Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for a Trainee Fibreglass Laminator based in the South Norfolk area.
Own transport is essential. This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Read and understand lay-up drawings and use laminating skills to carry out the required workload to the lay-up specification
Preparing moulds, applying release agents, and laying fibreglass matting and resin
Apply layers of gel to mould surfaces prior to placement of fibreglass mat, repeating layers until products have the desired thickness
Identifying and repairing defects in GRP components
Mask off mould areas which are not to be laminated, using cellophane, wax paper, masking tape, or special sprays containing mould-releasing substances
Any other duties as required
Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday
08:00 - 16:30
Experience/skills required:
Manufacturing background
Can use hand/power tools
Willing to learn
Doesn't mind getting hands dirty
Good interpersonal skills as will be working as part of a team
