Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK-based power solutions company for a unique opportunity that combines delivery driving with hands-on technical support — perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in field service engineering.
We’re looking for a practical, hands-on individual to support a busy team of Field Service Engineers. You’ll be out on the road delivering parts and equipment as well as getting involved on-site and assisting with the servicing and testing of diesel generators.
This role offers a clear path to becoming a fully trained Field Service Engineer in around five years’ time. You’ll gain real-world experience, technical exposure, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering tools, parts and equipment to engineers across the region
Assisting engineers on site with servicing, testing and general maintenance
Supporting the workshop team with parts handling and logistics
Ensuring your delivery van is kept clean, roadworthy, and ready for action
Completing basic paperwork and delivery logs
Acting as a helpful, professional representative of the business
Following all health & safety protocols to keep yourself and others safeWhat We’re Looking For Essential:
Full UK driving licence (with 3 points or less)
A practical mindset – not afraid to get stuck in
Friendly, positive, and reliable attitude
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Eagerness to learn and grow into a technical roleDesirable:
Experience in a delivery or driving role
Interest in mechanics, electrical work or engineering
Any technical training, certifications, or qualifications
