Trainee HGV Technician – Reading Salary: Up to £40,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday
Training provided – Class 2 licence and IRTEC certification
About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee HGV Technician to join our team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Level 3 LCV Technician who is ready to progress their career and train to work on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV). Full training, including Class 2 licence and IRTEC accreditation, will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs under supervision and with full training support.
Assist qualified HGV technicians in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
Complete vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
Maintain accurate service records and work to high workshop standards.
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Participate actively in structured training and development.What We Offer

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with vehicle servicing.
A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Full UK driving licence (or in the process of obtaining).
Reliable and committed to completing structured training.
