Trainee Maths Teacher   Do you have a maths-related degree and want to train as a fully qualified teacher while earning a salary?   Are you ready to inspire students and develop your teaching skills in a supportive school environment?   *** Trainee Maths Teacher *** Permanent – September 2025 *** £23,546 - £25,132 per annum initially *** School location: Ward of Ladywood *** Train to become a maths teacher (QTS)   The Role: As a Trainee Maths Teacher, you’ll join the school’s salaried teacher training programme, working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You’ll teach maths to KS3 and KS4 pupils under the guidance of experienced mentors while gradually taking on full classroom responsibilities. The programme combines practical teaching with professional development sessions, preparing you for a successful teaching career.   The Candidate: You must hold a degree in mathematics or a closely related subject and be passionate about working with young people. Strong communication skills, resilience, and a commitment to becoming an outstanding teacher are essential. Previous experience in a school or tutoring environment will be advantageous.   Requirements Degree – A 2:2 or above in maths or a related subject. Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication. Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. Desire to work in education/with children – A strong motivation to train as a teacher and support student success. Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.  The School: Located in the Ward of Ladywood, this secondary school is known for its excellent support for trainee teachers and high academic standards.
