Greys Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a nationally-recognised organisation to grow their in-house Occupational Health team. We are currently seeking a motivated Trainee Occupational Health Technician to join their single-site facility in Perth.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in Sport Science, Emergency Medical Technician, or an equivalent health-related field (for example Ambulance Technician) who are keen to transfer their skills into Occupational Health. Full training will be provided by the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision and with full training, you will learn and assist in a range of Occupational Health functions, including:
Conducting health surveillance and screening exercises
Audiometry testing
Spirometry testing
Vision screening
Drug and alcohol testing
Baseline health measurements
Supporting health-promotion and employee wellbeing initiatives
Essential Skills & Attributes:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Sport Science, or a background as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Ambulance Technician, or in a transferable health-related field
Demonstrable interest in developing a career within Occupational Health
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively
A positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
