Salary: £29,000 per annum starting salary
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays
Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for a Trainee Parachute Packer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within aerospace manufacturing. No previous parachute packing experience is required, as you'll complete a structured training programme alongside experienced parachute and drogue packers.
You'll learn specialist assembly, inspection and packing techniques used in the manufacture of life-saving aerospace equipment, where quality, patience and attention to detail are absolutely critical.

Trainee Parachute Packer Responsibilities
As you progress through your training, you'll learn how to:
* Prepare, inspect and pack different types of parachutes and drogues
* Follow detailed technical manuals, specifications and engineering drawings
* Carry out assembly activities as part of the wider manufacturing process
* Inspect your work carefully to ensure strict quality standards are maintained
* Handle specialist materials, components and finished products correctly
* Complete repetitive, precision-focused tasks accurately and consistently
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
* Is comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on work
* Has excellent attention to detail
* Is patient and comfortable completing repetitive, precision-based tasks
* Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
* Can follow detailed instructions and procedures
* Is looking for a long-term career within aerospace or manufacturing
Previous experience within manufacturing, production, assembly, textiles, sewing, inspection, warehousing or another hands-on environment could be beneficial, but isn't essential.
Full training will be provided.
Recruitment & Assessment Process
As part of the recruitment process:
* Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete an online assessment
* Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an in-person assessment day towards the end of September / early October
* Attendance at the assessment day is mandatory to be considered for the position

Security Requirements
Due to the nature of the aerospace and defence environment, successful applicants will be required to complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment screening.
