Job Description
Our client, a family-owned business specializing in fabrication and engineering, is currently seeking two Trainee Pipe Fitters to join their growing team based near Andover.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to begin a career in the fabrication and engineering sector. You'll receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced professionals, with clear potential for long-term career development within the company.
About the Role:
As a Trainee Pipe Fitter, you will support senior team members and gain valuable experience in:
Threaded pipework installation
Interpreting engineering assembly and fabrication drawings
Preparing materials for fabrication
Mechanical fit-up of welded pipework
Conducting pressure testing
Spray painting and finishing
Preparing manufacturing documentation
Performing inspections and reviewing certifications
What We're Looking For:
GCSEs (Grade 5 or above) in Maths and English (essential)
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A friendly, respectful, and professional attitude
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
Job Details:
Location: Andover
Duration: 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Rate: £12.21 per hour (basic rate)
