Location: Hailsham, BN27 4EL
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours

We are now recruiting for a Trainee Quality Inspector to join our quality team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career or looking to transition into quality inspection within a precision engineering environment.
You will receive full training to learn how to measure and visually inspect components and assemblies using a variety of metrology equipment.
You will also gain hands-on experience inspecting welds, validating components, and learning how to spot and record defects and features that don’t meet specification.
As our Trainee Quality Inspector, you’ll learn to:
* Support the non-conformance process and take part in corrective actions.
* Visually inspect finished goods to ensure they meet customer expectations.
* Help maintain the quality standards VACGEN is known for worldwide.
* Collaborate with different teams to improve product quality from the ground up.
* Update KPI’s and metrics to drive continuous quality improvement.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine interest in engineering, quality, or manufacturing.
* Is keen to learn how to use measuring tools and understand technical drawings.
* Has great attention to detail and enjoys problem-solving.
* Is reliable, organised, and eager to develop a long-term career in quality.
It would be great if you also had:
* A relevant qualification (or working towards one) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a similar discipline.
* An understanding of quality standards like ISO 9001 (but this is not essential – we’ll train you!).
* Any hands-on experience from education, hobbies, work experience, or previous roles.
