Location: Torquay, Devon
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (with occasional out-of-hours availability)
Salary: £25,500 per annum

We're now looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. No previous recruitment experience is required—we're looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

The Role

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll receive full training and support while learning every aspect of the recruitment process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  * Sourcing candidates using job boards, social media and our internal database.

  * Advertising vacancies and writing engaging job adverts.

  * Screening CVs and interviewing candidates.

  * Registering candidates and matching them to suitable vacancies.

  * Building strong relationships with clients and temporary workers.

  * Booking candidates into temporary and permanent positions.

  * Managing candidate availability and shift bookings.

  * Carrying out compliance and right-to-work checks.

  * Delivering excellent customer service to clients and candidates.

  * Supporting the wider recruitment team with day-to-day operations.

No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

About You

We don't expect recruitment experience, but we do expect the right attitude.

We're looking for someone who is:

  * Motivated and eager to learn.

  * Confident speaking to people over the phone and face-to-face.

  * Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.

  * Hardworking, reliable and proactive.

  * A good communicator with excellent customer service skills.

  * Able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.

  * Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills.

  * A team player with a positive attitude.

  * Keen to develop a long-term career in recruitment.

Previous experience within customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, administration, estate agency, call centres or other people-focused roles would be advantageous but is not essential.
