The Role of a Trainee Recruitment Consultant:
You will start in the role as a Candidate Manager, where you’ll play a key role in connecting great people with exciting opportunities. You’ll work closely with our experienced consultants, helping to find and engage top talent for roles across the country whilst learning the ropes of recruitment.
Your day-to-day will include:
Speaking to prospective candidates on the phone – this will be your main activity.
Sourcing fresh talent through job boards, and our in-house database.
Building strong relationships with candidates and keeping them informed throughout the process.
Updating and managing candidate records on our system (multitasking skills will really help here!).
What we can offer you as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant:
A clear career path – start as a Candidate Manager and within 18 months you could progress through the ranks to Lead Consultant, running your own client portfolio.
Uncapped commission from day one – plus quarterly bonuses on top. First-year OTE: £30,000 - £35,000 (and the potential to earn much more).
Early Friday finishes (1pm) – every week, NO targets attached and NO longer days the rest of the week.
Fantastic team culture – with regular socials and legendary Summer & Christmas parties.
25 days holiday (plus the option to buy more).
What we're looking for in a Trainee Recruitment Consultant:
We don’t need you to have recruitment experience - we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
All we ask is that you bring:
Great communication skills – both verbal and written.
Hungry for success - we want motivated and driven people who can grow with the business.
Confidence on the phone – you’ll spend a lot of time talking to candidates.
A proactive, motivated attitude – we love people who take initiative.
Organisational skills & attention to detail – multitasking will be part of your daily life.Whilst some office or telephone-based experience is essential, sales experience is helpful but not essential - the right attitude matters most.
