Job Description
We are recruiting for a trainee toolmaker on behalf of one of our well-established manufacturing clients in Alfreton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and progress within a company.
The job: Trainee Toolmaker
Duration: Permanent position
Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour
Location: DE55, Alfreton
Shift: 08:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday
WHAT WILL YOU DO DAY TO DAY?
• Working alongside the tool room machinists and tool room manager to carry out various engineering tasks
• Being trained on how to set and operate a variety of different machines in the tool room (CNC milling machines, spark eroders, cylindrical grinding machines and manual lathes)
• Being trained on carrying out maintenance, repairs and service of products on the shop floor.
• Working within a manufacturing environment
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• Previous experience setting and operating machinery within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• The ability to use hand and power tools confidently.
• The willingness to be trained up within a company.
