Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - No Weekends!
Monday Matters Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established gearbox specialist garage based in Faversham. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Trainee Gearbox Technician to join their skilled team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in the automotive industry, with a focus on gearbox diagnostics, repair, and refurbishment. You’ll receive full training from experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in a busy, respected workshop.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior technicians with gearbox diagnostics and repairs
*
Learn how to strip, inspect, and rebuild a wide range of gearboxes
*
Carry out routine gearbox maintenance and checks
*
Maintain workshop cleanliness and follow all health and safety procedures
*
Develop understanding of specialist tools and diagnostic equipment
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Genuine interest in automotive mechanics and engineering
*
Some mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience (e.g. college course, hobby work, etc.) is desirable
*
Willingness to learn, take instruction, and work as part of a team
*
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with good attention to detail
*
Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
