Adecco is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Dorset Police for a Police Trainer - a rewarding role where your insight can help develop the next generation of officers and staff. The Role: Police Trainer Location: Middlemoor, Exeter Pay: £14.70 per hour Hours: Full Time (Monday - Friday) Contract: Temporary - until March 2026 (with potential for extension) Why This Role Is Perfect for Former Officers You'll use your first-hand knowledge to design and deliver engaging training sessions that help ensure today's officers are confident, capable, and ready for real-world policing. Whether it's delivering training to new recruits, frontline officers, or police staff, you'll play a key part in maintaining professional standards across the Force. What You'll Be Doing Deliver face-to-face and training across Dorset & Devon and Cornwall Police Assess and support learners against national policing standards Carry out training needs analysis and tailor delivery accordingly Provide ongoing coaching, support, and professional advice to learnersWhat You Bring Previous experience in policing - essential Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for development, coaching, and sharing knowledge The ability to lead a room and engage a diverse audience Professionalism and integrity - you're a role model Values and Ethics - a trainer's role is representative of the organisation and must have a broad understanding of issues affecting the service and to behave appropriately to ensure an appropriate image is displayed particularly important in relation to all areas of diversity. Additionally, a Trainer holds a position of responsibility and therefore must be able to effectively provide and manage students, irrespective of their rank or position.Experience as a trainer is helpful, but not essential - we're looking for those with real policing experience who are confident and willing to learn how to train.
