About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Trainer/Assessor – Engineering to manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them to successfully complete their programmes in a timely manner.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality training, building strong employer relationships, and guiding learners through every stage of their apprenticeship journey.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support a caseload of learners through coaching, mentoring, and assessment
Deliver training and carry out regular progress reviews with learners and employers
Act as the main point of contact for employers, building strong working relationships
Plan and deliver training to develop learners’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs)
Prepare learners for assessment, gateway, and End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Maintain accurate records and ensure all compliance and administrative requirements are met
Support learners’ wider development, including English, Maths, and employability skills
Ensure all activity meets awarding body standards and college policies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
TAQA / A1 Assessor qualification (or equivalent)
Experience in training, assessing, or mentoring apprentices (desirable)
Strong industry knowledge and employer engagement skills
Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional standards
