Salary: £40.000 - £50,000pa

Are you a Waste Management Industry expert? Are you looking for an exciting new career for an established and growing Waste Management company based in Eastbourne? This role could be excellent for you! 

My client is looking for an experienced Transfer Station Manager/Site Manager to join their team based in Eastbourne, to oversee and manage onsite operations for the Waste Transfer Station and Depot for Skip Hire and Ro/Ro services.

Working Hours: Full Time: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 5:30pm)

Opportunity for growth and development within the companyKey Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, health and safety regulations, and all relevant authority standards, including oversight of H&S, facility management, and emergency response.
Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, including treatment plant, transfer station, vehicle fleet, staffing, plant maintenance, and contractor control.
Drive operational efficiency and cost reduction through process improvements, full P&L accountability, and implementation of KPIs across all site functions.
Oversee staff recruitment, shift planning, training, development, and performance management to align with business needs and promote a positive team culture.
Develop and grow the business by identifying new opportunities, improving communication across sites, and ensuring accurate and efficient systems for invoicing and reportingRequirements:

Previous experience working for a Waste Management Company.
COTC/WAMITAB Lvl 4 qualification is desirable.
Previous experience as a Transfer Station Manager/Depot Manager - or looking to take a step up.
Strong demonstratable leadership experience.
