Transfer Station Plant Operative – Immediate Start
📍 Location: Blackpool (FY4 5NQ)
💰 Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch)
⏱️ Overtime: May be available
We’re currently seeking a Transfer Station Plant Operative to join a busy and established waste management site. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and safety-conscious operator looking for a long-term, full-time role.
🧰 Key Responsibilities:
*
Operate a range of mobile plant, including daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
*
Manage on-site traffic safely, including guiding tipping vehicles.
*
Operate the weighbridge, accurately recording vehicle weights and details for all arrivals and departures.
*
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and SUEZ company policies at all times.
*
Cooperate with team members and site management to maintain site permits and operational standards.
*
Provide excellent customer service to clients, drivers, and members of the public.
*
Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
✅ Requirements:
*
Operational experience and current licences for Loading Shovel, 360 Excavator, and Forklift (essential).
*
Previous experience within a waste, recycling, or similar process environment is highly advantageous.
*
Strong understanding and proactive approach to Health & Safety.
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*
Basic IT skills an advantage.
