Transmode Network Engineer
6 Month Contract
London (Hybrid)
£400/day (Outside IR35)
Transmode Network Engineer needed with strong XTM and DWDM networks experience. 6 Month Rolling Contract. Start ASAP in September/October 2025.
Hybrid Working - with 75% remote working (WFH), plus occasional travel to sites in London (Paddington).
Working with a global IT Consultancy on large-scale network solutions projects for a Telecoms end client.
Key skills, experience + tasks will include:
In-depth XTM (Cross-Connect Transport Module) and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical network systems expertise.
Managing / optimizing transport networks, ensuring high performance, reliability, and evaluating the impact of service cessation on network operations and infrastructure.
Designing, implementing + maintaining DWDM and XTM network systems for robust data transmission.
Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting + resolving transport networks issues.
Defining network requirements + creating technical documentation including network design layouts + operational procedures.
