Transport Planner
£13.33 per hour | Monday to Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client's busy logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning, administration, and Excel skills who is looking to develop their career within transport and logistics.
The role is initially based in Ryton, with a planned move to Daventry in the near future, so candidates must be able to travel and work from the Daventry site when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning daily transport operations and delivery schedules
Route planning and organising next-day loads
Managing inbound and outbound units
Sourcing and booking trailers
Pulling, analysing, and inputting data using Excel
Monitoring delivery days and ensuring deadlines are met
Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong planning and organisational skills
Previous route planning or transport experience
Good Excel knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience within a logistics, transport, or distribution setting
Pay & Hours:
£13.33 per hour
Monday to Friday
Choice of shifts: 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
Ryton initially, moving to Daventry
