Transport Administrator
Ipswich
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Are you an organised and proactive administrator with experience in logistics or transport? We’re working with a leading logistics business who are looking to add a Transport Administrator to their growing team in Ipswich.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role, supporting smooth operations across major UK ports. You’ll be at the heart of a busy team, ensuring everything from documentation to vehicle tracking runs like clockwork, this is a really great opportunity to grow with a fantastic business and really carve out your own career path.
What you’ll be doing:
Acting as the key support for transport operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Managing correspondence, records, and system updates with accuracy.
Handling VBS account management (Felixstowe, London Gateway, Southampton).
Maintaining Truckcom screens, processing PODs, and managing detention charges.
Monitoring container releases via Destin8 and overseeing restitutions.
Supporting wider departments with admin tasks, reports, and meeting coordination.What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a transport or logistics admin role is ideal.
Knowledge of VBS, Truckcom, and Destin8 (or confidence to learn quickly) would a massive help but by all means not essential.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Confident communicator with a team-player attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).What’s on offer:
