Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established transport and logistics company in Irthlingborough, for a dedicated Transport Clerk to support their busy operations team.
This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent after the initial 12-month term.
2 weeks training will be provided at the company’s Corby site.
Key Responsibilities:

Briefing and debriefing drivers at the start and end of each shift
*
Daily communication and liaison with drivers to ensure schedules run smoothly
*
Tracking vehicle movements and delivery times
*
Accurately logging data into transport systems
*
Providing general support to the transport and planning teams
*
Supporting operational admin and assisting with issue resolution
Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a Transport Clerk or in a logistics/transport office is preferred
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Confident using computers – including spreadsheets and transport systems
*
Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
*
Willing to complete training at the Corby site
What’s on Offer:

Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

37.5 hours paid per week, paid weekly
*
12-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanent employment
