Transport Clerk
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days)
Hours: 5:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting an experienced and organised Transport Clerk to join our busy logistics operation in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced transport office environment, supporting our scheduled transport routes and ensuring our HGV drivers and trailers are dispatched efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
As a Transport Clerk, you will:
Monitor and track transport routes, ensuring HGV drivers arrive for duty and trailers reach hub sites as planned.
Liaise with Hub Operations, Network Operations, Transport and Security teams to communicate updates or operational issues quickly and effectively.
Complete licence checks for agency drivers, ensuring full compliance with O Licence regulations.
Carry out general administrative tasks including answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and dispatching drivers.
Provide administrative support to Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers as required.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
Previous experience in a fast-paced operational or transport office environment (preferred).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Proficiency in using computer systems, including Google Chrome applications.
