Transport Co-ordinator - Belfast
Location: Belfast
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11am - 8pm
(Training period: 9:00am - 5:30pm)
Supreme Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join their team in Belfast.
You'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of UK import activities, working in a fast-paced and dynamic logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Scan Proof of Delivery documents (PODs)
Create export documentation and final manifests, including Dangerous Goods Notifications (DGNs)
Plan, direct, and control all UK import activities - from freight booking to customs compliance
Ensure files are costed and invoiced prior to export/delivery
Liaise with transport companies to meet customer collection and delivery expectations
Build strong relationships with key customers and understand their business needs
Escalate any risks or delays to the manager early
Ensure all logistics documentation is accurate and on time
Maintain internal systems for tracking and compliance
Carry out additional tasks as directed by managementRequirements:
Minimum 12 months' experience in groupage shipping (preferred)
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Documentation and hazardous consignments (beneficial)
Understanding of exports and customs procedures (beneficial)
Ability to work to deadlines with strong attention to detail
IT literate and comfortable using freight systems
A proactive, team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
Full clean UK driving licenceInterested?
