Our Haddenham-based client is on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Transport Controller to join their incredible team on a temporary to permanent basis. If you're ready to take the wheel in the dynamic world of logistics, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Position: Transport Controller
Location: Haddenham
Working Hours: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturday morning overtime)
What You'll Do:
Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure the efficient and safe management of day-to-day transport operations with a keen focus on Pallet Distribution and Full Load distribution.
Deliver Excellence: Guarantee that deliveries via the Pallet Track Network are executed to high standards, meeting our Network's KPI obligations.
Fleet optimisation: Ensure the smooth running of the daily Full Load business, optimising fleet performance.
Lead the Driving Team: Manage the Driving Team, ensuring compliance with planning expectations. Identify underperformance issues and collaborate with management to address concerns.
Compliance Matters: Monitor driver hours, vehicle defects, and infringements to ensure adherence to local regulations, supported by the Management Team.
Continuous Improvement: Use your initiative and data trends to identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality and performance.
Customer Service Excellence: Keep customer service at the forefront, protecting quality while seeking efficiencies in operations.What We're Looking For:
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with customers and drivers.
A proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently and contribute to the smooth running of operations after initial training.
This role is on a temporary basis starting asap, with a view to become permanent.
