Transport Co-ordinator (Night Shift)
Location: Slough
Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum + overtime (potential to earn an additional ~£5,000)
Hours: 4 on / 4 off – 19:00 to 07:00
Vanta Staffing are recruiting a Night Shift Transport Co-ordinator on behalf of a busy and well-established logistics company based near Heathrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner or transport professional to join a dynamic, growing operation that provides first-class logistics solutions across the UK and Europe.
You will work as part of a 24/7 operations team, ensuring the smooth running of transport and logistics functions overnight. This is a key role linking the day and night operations, requiring excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the nightly transport plan, ensuring on-time and compliant delivery performance
Liaise with drivers, customers, and service partners in the UK and internationally
Make real-time adjustments to the transport plan as required
Communicate effectively with day shift colleagues to ensure smooth handovers
Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport legislation
Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues quickly and professionally
Support the wider operations and planning team as needed
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure
Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport planning or coordination
Knowledge of HGV driver management and air cargo operations (preferred)
Good understanding of UK and European geography
Experience with EU-UK customs and ETSF procedures (minimum 1 year)
IT-literate with good knowledge of MS Office
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
