Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join their logistics team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring that goods are shipped and received efficiently. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Transportation Coordinator will work closely with various departments to optimise logistics processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Hours and Salary
Monday - Friday, 50 hours per week
£30,000 - £35,000
Duties
Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.
Taking calls and placing orders on system
Dealing with driver issues & assist with daily work logs
Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate records and compliance data
Conduct regular assessments of business processes to identify areas for improvement.
Skills
Proficient in shipping and receiving processes with a strong understanding of logistics principles.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
Microsoft 365 and preferably Waste Logics
Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading teams effectively.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on optimising business processes.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with various stakeholdersBefore You Apply
