Streamline Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager.
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished professional within the container haulage sector to take on a pivotal leadership role.
This position offers the chance to oversee daily transport activities, drive operational performance, and support a growing business with a strong focus on reliability and service excellence.
Role Overview
* Lead a team of planners and drivers to ensure the smooth execution of daily schedules.
* Develop efficient, customer-focused transport plans that maximise available resources.
* Take ownership of resolving operational challenges and escalations.
* Maintain composure and deliver solutions in fast-paced environments.
* Ensure compliance with driver working time regulations and all relevant legislation.
* Oversee timely updates to transport management systems and maintain strong client communication.
* Analyse and improve booking processes to enhance cost efficiency.
* Keep operational records accurate for compliance, audits, and reporting.
* Act as the key point of contact for senior management on operational matters.
Skills & Experience Required
* CPC qualification is essential.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in container transport operations.
* In-depth understanding of driver hours and industry legislation.
* Familiarity with transport management systems such as TOPS (or similar).
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per year
Monday – Friday 08:00-18:00 (flexibility with operational requirements).
