Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to join our client's Operations team in Crawley. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant management of a fleet of 30+ vehicles, ensuring operational performance and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
  * Manage the day-to-day operation of a 30+ vehicle fleet.
  * Ensure full Operator Licence and transport compliance.
  * Oversee route planning, driver welfare and resource allocation.
  * Monitor KPIs, operational performance and transport costs.
  * Manage PCNs, fines, tolls and supplier invoices.
  * Conduct compliance audits and prepare management reports.
  * Ensure drivers maintain CPC and other required training.
  * Drive continuous improvement across transport operations.
About You
  * Transport Manager with 3-5 years' experience.
  * Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and fleet compliance.
  * Experienced in logistics planning and fleet management systems.
  * Confident leader with excellent communication skills.
  * Commercially aware, organised and solutions-focused.
Essential Requirements
  * CPC in Road Transport
  * Full UK Driving Licence
  * Proven transport management experience
  * Route planning and fleet management software experience
  * Knowledge of health and safety and compliance requirements
Desirable
  * IOSH qualification
  * Experience with Descartes or similar routing software
  * Digital fleet management experience
  * Knowledge of NetSuite ERP
