Description
As the Transport Manager, you will
Manage and optimise all transport operations across multiple sites, this will include route optimisation
Ensure full compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
Build effective reporting through the TMS, and other systems to support continuous improvement
Lead and support a team of transport and logistics professionals, building capability
Collaborate with internal departments to align transport operations with business objectives.
Negotiate with third-party transport providers to achieve favourable terms.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to clients and partners.Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
Proven expertise in transport management within the industrial or manufacturing industry, and have had responsibility for transport operations, fleet / compliance (including maintenance), and financial performance
Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
Experience in developing and managing transport operations on a multi site basis
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to analyse data and improve operational efficiency using various systems (including TMS)
Strong negotiation skills with external transport providers.
Must be CPC qualifiedJob Offer
